Working with Reneé and her office manager Rebecca was awesome. I did not have any connections in this area who could really recommend a seller’s agent to me, so I did a lot of online research and interviewed multiple agents/brokers before hiring Reneé. From our first meeting, Reneé clearly stood out as the most efficient, knowledgable, and professional of the bunch. Even though I had met with other agents who were asking for a slightly lower commission, I still went with my gut and hired Reneé. She did not try to oversell herself or give me inflated estimates of the value of my house that she would later have to walk back. She backed up everything with market data and research, was a consistent straight-shooter, and was someone I felt that I could trust to help me navigate the sales process. I have no regrets about hiring Reneé, as she handled the whole sales process very professionally while also being a reliable, friendly, and personable partner. She made smart recommendations about what repairs/updates we should do, and what it would not be worth doing before listing our house. She also set up a free staging consultation, which really helped us to make sure our house popped in the photos and looked its best for showings. At the end of the day, she got our house listed and sold exactly in the timeframe and in the price range we had hoped for, and steered us smoothly through the whole process. Importantly, Reneé helped us to pick the right price point for the listing, and it was spot on. We were somewhat unsure what to expect for pricing, as we bought this house during COVID craziness (2020) and had seen property prices first skyrocket and then start to drop as interest rates and inflation went up in early 2023. We really didn’t know what price to ask for our house, and we were hearing pretty divergent numbers from various agents we had interviewed before hiring Reneé. However, Reneé was able to find the perfect sweet spot in terms of pricing, and we ended up having lots of interest in the house, multiple offers, and were under contract within 48 hours. She was also super helpful in the negotiation process with the buyers, including navigating their requests during due diligence. One of the most important things for me was that Reneé and Rebecca were super responsive throughout the whole process—even before I had formally hired Reneé—and they always went the extra mile to keep me informed and up to date. Unquestionably, Reneé is a fantastic, experienced, and super helpful real estate pro. I would strongly recommend Reneé and her team to anyone selling a home in the Triangle area. You will be in great hands with Hillman Real Estate Group.
