A Win-Win Years in the Making: Seller/Buyer Success Story
We often times forget to share with you all the inner workings of some of our transactions. Our team has so many fun stories that have come to fruition over the years so we are working to share more of these “Success Stories” with you. This story is straight from our team leader and just all-around boss woman, Renée Hillman, and focuses on our listing at 125 Begen Street in Morrisville.
Let’s Go Back to 2014…
The year was 2014. Guardians of the Galaxy was the highest-grossing film, Jay Leno was about to host his last tonight show, The Seattle Seahawks were Super Bowl champs, and our team was helping a buyer purchase their first home which, as you may have guessed, was 125 Begen Street. At the time, there were NO homes available in this community and this was where the buyers wanted to be. Lucky for us, a buyer fell out of contract and we were able to swoop in by keeping our eye on it.
Fast forward to eight years later. The Super Mario Bros. Movie has taken the lead as the highest-grossing movie of 2023, clogs are in style, and these same clients reached out to Renée about potentially building a home. Our team was able to walk them through the process literally from start to finish. The timing of getting their current house sold was crucial as the ideal situation was to get the funds out of 125 Begen Street to use towards the new house. (This is a fairly normal situation but can be tricky to manage.) The hard thing with new construction and especially custom building is you do not know the exact closing date until about 45-60 days out. It all seamlessly came together over a year later when our clients experienced additional appreciation and ultimately we were able to sell their home off the market as one of their neighbors was interested in purchasing the house! This was a win-win for everyone as we were able to close and work out a seller’s possession and they moved from one house to the next with as little interruption as moving can cause.
