What a Year It Has Been for the HREG Team

As we come to the close of another fantastic year, we’d like to reflect as a team on all of the accomplishments and milestones we’ve reached together and with you, our wonderful clients! With the speed at which real estate moves, it’s easy to forget the smaller things that one-by-one add up to an incredible year of growth, and giving, in 2018.

Valuing Education & Training

Those close to us here at Hillman Real Estate Group know that education and training are two of our top “behind the scenes” priorities. We don’t share these tidbits often but getting three busy REALTORS® out of the office and into the classroom is really quite the feat in itself.

Did you know that our Office Manager and all around rockstar, Rebecca Wise, is a licensed REALTOR® herself? She is! And as part of that role, Rebecca completed one of her required 30-hour post-licensing courses this year. With that course fulfilled, she’s another step closer to removing “provisional” from her broker status.

Robin Lilley HREG Accredited Buyer RepresentativeNext, we have to brag on our Buyer Partner Robin Lilley! Robin recently completed all of the necessary training, documentation, and experience necessary to receive the industry-recognized Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation. Designed for real estate buyer’s agents who focus on working directly with buyer-clients, this is a testament to her dedication to always going the extra mile for our buyers.

And in November, we traveled to Wilmington, NC, as a team to “Hustle & Heart”, The Inspiration Lab Conference. It’s a program created to empower and inspire women. To say that “it did” would be quite the understatement! We were joined by Stephanie Davis of PrimeLending, one of our amazing mortgage and finance partners, and soaked up every sound byte and notes jotted of inspiration that will carry us right into 2019.

One of our favorite elements of this event? The meals enjoyed before and after sessions where we could take time to reflect, and share our thoughts together, as opposed to rushing back to “business as usual”.

Here We Grow Again

No “year-in-review” post would be complete without mentioning Jon “The Senator” Edwards who joined our team late this fall! Although he may be the new member to the team, he’s no rookie. Jonathan has been successfully working in real estate in the Triangle prior to joining our small shop and we are so excited about the energy he’s adding to our roster for the new year. You can read all about him and how he came to join the HREG team here!

Even Santa Made an Appearance This Year

You know it’s a good year when the big man makes time in his very busy schedule to attend a Saturday morning photo opp at the RE/MAX One Realty office. We invited him over to visit with our HREG clients and the event couldn’t have been a bigger hit.

Thank you to everyone who came by to enjoy brunch bites and holiday cheer. Of course, this event will return in 2019! Go ahead and mark your calendars for December 7, 2019.

HREG in the Community

The HREG team is proud of our community commitment and support… and it’s not something we wait until the holidays to jump into. Each year, we pledge $10,000 back to our community. Throughout 2018, we’ve spent time helping a family get ready to move into their new home with our friends at The Green Chair Project, running a 5K and supporting Note in the Pocket with volunteer time and financial donations, sending classroom care packages to our clients who are teachers at the beginning of the new school year, and much more… keep reading as the list goes on!

We’re currently holding our annual “HREG Wants Your Undies” holiday collection drive for Note in the Pocket, by the way.

Can you help us reach our goal of 1,500 new undies to donate? Learn all about it here!

Throughout the calendar year, we’re proud to make monetary donations to organizations that we feel are important to our neighbors and industry, like Duke Hospital’s American Heart Walk and RPAC (impacting how policy decisions affecting real estate are made at the state and local level). We are a proud Patron Sponsor of Note in the Pocket, too.

Renee was nominated and selected to be on the REALTOR® Foundation of Wake County board and through the associated Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS®, we support many giving campaigns throughout the year including the annual holiday Angel Tree gift drive.

By the way, did you know that each real estate transaction, purchased or sold, also supports the RE/MAX’s Children’s Miracle Network’s partnership, too?

What a Year!

When you wrap it all up like that in a pretty package, 2018 has certainly been one for the books.

By the numbers, we’re especially proud to hit such high marks in production thanks to our combined team efforts:

47 “Sold by HREG” Listings
38 Buyers Closed on Purchases
A Grand Total of 85 Closings – Resulting in a Sales Total of $27 Million!

A special “Thank you!” to each of you who allowed us to be part of your lives this year. We appreciate each of you, and your referrals, and look forward to 2019.
