Renee’s Family Getaway to “Knotts Landing” at Ocean Isle Beach
Real estate agents find it hard to break away from work and get out of town, so we’re pumped that our team leader Renee got the chance to reschedule her family vacay she was supposed to enjoy last fall and enjoy a well-deserved getaway to Ocean Isle Beach, NC! One of Renee’s past clients was kind enough to offer their amazing beach rental property, lovingly named “Knotts Landing”, which worked perfectly for her large extended family.
Renee Gives Us the Skinny on the Trip That Almost Wasn’t
“We had originally planned a family trip with all the siblings and significant others last year and unfortunately a hurricane hit which canceled the trip. We were super bummed! That has been dubbed the ‘decade trip’ as several of us were planning the get-together to celebrate milestone birthdays. Fast forward to May of this year and we were able to do just that. In my family, three of the four of us girls were born in May so we were able to all celebrate together!”
A Good Old-Fashioned Girls Weekend – Plus Dad!
“An opportunity came up that Aaron (my husband) was having a guys weekend with his buddies from high school – the first time they’ve all been together in the last five years so I thought it would be a good time for me and Elise to take a road trip. This turned into all my sisters wanting to go, then my mom, and then we felt bad for dad so we asked him along, too. He doesn’t really know any different after a family of four girls – he was in his element!”

Renee gushed about the gorgeous coastal and Intracoastal Waterway views and the easy access to the beach, noting that when it was super windy, the whole gang was able to hang by the pool to avoid getting pelted by the sand. “We seriously felt like the rich and famous – minus the butler – we even had an elevator! ?”
The 5,000 sq. ft. home sleeps 24 (yes, 24!) across eight bedrooms and offers seven full bathrooms and a half bath, as well. Double decks offer sweeping natural views which you’ll find hard to part ways with but the luxuries inside make it worth it to gather indoors: private suites, stainless steel appliances, ample seating, and much more.
Renee summarized the trip with, “We had some great laughs, made some even better memories, toured Ocean Isle, and really just enjoyed a near perfect weekend.” We are so happy Renee had a chance for a little R&R at the beach! She’s back in Raleigh, recharged, and ready to take on the hot, hot, hot summer market here in the Triangle.
