Held during several weekends back in October, the annual Parade of Homes is a chance for members of the Home Builders Association of Raleigh–Wake County and the Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties to show off their latest designs and builds across varying residential locations throughout the Triangle.

As always, there were some absolutely beautiful homes but this year, we didn’t see a ton of new design trends as we have in years past. What we did see were bolder choices in carpet and lots of geometric tiles.

Grays are still the rage, so be sure to check out our past post on popular hues!

We didn’t see a ton of the brushed gold as we had in the past. As one might expect, white still remains classic and timeless.

Also, loved that the designers used some less traditional light fixtures!

Do you have backyard envy on Pinterest? My new favorite feature I saw was retractable screens on porches. Talk about an impressive feature. Adding it to the “want list” now…
