Our Team Loves a Good Clothes Sort: I Heart eXp Day 2025
At Hillman Real Estate Group at eXp Realty, giving back is part of who we are. This October, we were honored to participate in “I Heart eXp Day” for the fifth consecutive year—a nationwide event where eXp brokers come together to volunteer in their local communities. It’s incredible to see the collective power of over 100 local volunteers making a real difference.
This year, our team worked alongside Note in the Pocket, the beneficiaries of our annual Undies Drive. Just recently, we wrapped up our ninth annual drive, collecting new underwear to help children start school with confidence, comfort, and dignity. Each year, we also match donations undie for undie, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000, doubling the impact of our community’s generosity.
The need in our community is significant. While volunteering at I Heart eXp Day, we learned that in September 2025 alone, Note in the Pocket received 923 clothing requests, and so far this year, they’ve provided clothing for 8,144 children. It’s a powerful reminder that every donation and volunteer hour counts—and we’re proud to partner with Note in the Pocket throughout the year.
Renée Hillman shared:
“We had a packed house for I Heart eXp Day! It was so rewarding to step out of the office and volunteer alongside fellow eXp colleagues. We sorted a TON of clothes—we actually emptied an entire section that was overflowing!”
This day isn’t just about giving back—it’s about raising awareness for meaningful organizations like Note in the Pocket and reminding us all that volunteer hours are unlimited and always in need. One of the most tangible ways we help is by assembling mini wardrobes, which provide children with the essential clothing they need to go to school comfortably and confidently.
What is a Mini Wardrobe?
A mini wardrobe is a set of essential clothing items that equips a child with everything they need to go to school comfortably and confidently:
- Minimum 10 shirts
- Minimum 5 pants/shorts
- 1 hoodie or light jacket
- At least 1 pair of athletic shoes
- 5 pairs of new underwear
- 5 pairs of new socks
- Coats, hats, and gloves
Additional items you can donate:
- Pajamas or robes
- Belts/ties
- Dress/skirt or dress shoes
- Bras (women and girls)
How You Can Get Involved
- Donate new or gently used clothing and shoes of all sizes (infant-adult).
- Please place all donations in closed bags.
- Drop off at any of Note in the Pocket’s collection sites.
- For large collections or clothing drives, contact info@noteinthepocket.org to schedule a drop-off.
- Visit their Wish List page for most-needed items or sign up as a “Fairy Godmother or Godfather” to receive urgent requests via text.
- Financial contributions are also welcome.
Looking Ahead: Socks and Undies 5k Rundie
Our support for Note in the Pocket extends far beyond a single day of volunteering and even beyond our Undies Drive. We also participate in and sponsor the Socks and Undies 5k Rundie every year, coming up again on April 25, 2026. Just like our Undies Drive and I Heart eXp Day, this fun run supports Note in the Pocket’s mission, of providing quality clothing to homeless and impoverished children and families with dignity and love.
