A Day of Giving Back: Celebrating “I Heart eXp Day” 2024

This year, our team leader Renée Hillman had the privilege of co-leading the impactful “I Heart eXp Day” on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, alongside Colleen Blondell and Linda Nuxoll, and it was truly one for the books!

“I Heart eXp Day” is a nationwide event where eXp brokers come together to volunteer in their local communities, and we’re honored to have been a part of it for four consecutive years. It’s incredible to witness the collective power of over 100 volunteers right here in our area, making a real difference.

This year, we coordinated efforts across multiple Triangle locations to maximize participation. Local brokers volunteered at The Diaper Bank in Durham, Designed for Joy in Downtown Raleigh, and BackPack Buddies in the Garner/Clayton area. Our team was thrilled to work with Note in the Pocket, where we filled the house for the morning session and enjoyed a more personal experience in the afternoon, focusing on preparations for their next community pop-up event in Apex.

Even Renée’s parents got in on the action, volunteering during the afternoon shift!

“It really is one of my favorite days of the year, and I always love having my team by my side. I’m also proud that we continue service projects and volunteer efforts throughout the year.” – Renée Hillman.

This day is not only about giving back but also about raising awareness for these meaningful organizations, reminding us that volunteer hours are unlimited and always in need.

About Note in the Pocket

Note in the Pocket provides clothing to impoverished and homeless schoolchildren in Wake County and Durham County with dignity and love. They believe that it is unacceptable for children to be limited in their educational and social development because they do not have appropriate clothes for school and we are proud to support their efforts.
