HREG in the Community: Note in the Pocket Socks & Undie 5K Rundie 2022

As always, there’s no shortage of fun things to do in the Triangle area! Last weekend, Team HREG gathered up friends and family and took a team to our favorite walk/run of the year that benefits Note in the Pocket. The weather and company were perfect for the Ninth Annual Note in the Pocket Socks & Undie 5K Rundie at Dorothea Dix Park. This was their biggest 5K Rundie to date!

The super fantastic fun race took place Saturday, April 23, 2022. We laced up to support local kids in need as a returning Patron-level sponsor. We were so excited to be able to help kids in our community with a basic need: CLOTHING.

You might recognize a few #TeamHREG faces in these photos including team leader Renée Hillman, buyer specialists Robin and Jonathan, and even Little Big E (future real estate agent in training) made it out.

“And the funniest part of yesterday was Little Big E turned to me quickly and said Mommy I am going to run with Jonathan and literally took off. I thought ok, she will run with him for a couple of blocks or so, the next thing I know she ran the whole thing. Luckily Jonathan was a good sport as his pace was off for a 3.3-mile run” 😉. – Renée

We’d like to give a special “Thanks!” to our families for joining in the walk for a great cause with us. We are already looking forward to next year.

About Note in the Pocket

As a non-profit serving impoverished and homeless children and families, Note in the Pocket started with a simple mission: To Clothe Children in Dignity and Love. Note in the Pocket believes that it is unacceptable that children are limited in their educational and social development because they do not have appropriate clothes for school. In 2021 they moved into a larger facility and have expanded their program capacity. They have a goal to clothe 8,000 in 2022 and proceeds from the Socks & Undie Rundie help to make that happen!
